CMT update

Hello friends!

I hope that you've had a wonderful start to the new year. If you've been reading my previous blogs you may remember that I had recently auditioned for CMT's show, "Can You Duet."

I would have loved to make it on the show but we did not make it. My friend Tanner and I arrived around 5:30 am and waited in line in front of the Wildhorse saloon until around 2:30pm. We had a great time waiting in ling among thousands of hopeful and talented musicians. The winners of round one would exit Wildhorse with a golden sheet of paper and we noticed that the majority of the winners were decked out, in full costume, or had a certain cooky style! Not to discredit them in any way but Tanner and I don't even really like country music so I'm glad we didn't make it on the show. It would have been fun but when you think about the duos who have actually been singing together for years and years, especially if they've traveled from outside of the state to be there, I'm so glad that we didn't take their spot.

It's all in God's hands for sure. There was one perk though; when we walked out of the audition they told us to wait in the hall for the tech guys to tell is where to go. So we followed their orders and they singled Tanner and I out to tell us that the judges hadn't been writing on anyone's audition papers all day but they did write on ours, " you were so close, keep trying!" That made us feel very special. Be sure to watch the show when it comes on CMT though, you see us in the background hootin and hollarin!
